The Connors squad, including Seth Willard, Korbin Reich, Joey Parisotto, Isaac Blankenship, and Dalton Self, finished seventh overall, surpassing shooters from the Virginia Military Institute, Sam Houston State University, and Mississippi State University. CSC shooters performed particularly well in sporting clays, finishing fourth in the discipline amid stiff competition.
Seth Willard distinguished himself throughout the competition, posting consistent high scores in American trap, skeet and five-stand, and tying for sixth place in sporting clays. Korbin Reich also shot well throughout the competition, as did newcomer Joey Parisotto, who posted competitive scores in his first collegiate competition.
The team will head back to Texas for two more competitions this semester for the regional and national championships hosted at the National Shooting Sports Complex in San Antonio.
