The Connors State College Shotgun Shooting Sports Team kicked off the spring semester this weekend with a trip to College Station for the Texas A&M University Trap & Skeet Invitational. Connors finished 7th overall surpassing shooters from the Virginia Military Institute, Sam Houston State University, and Mississippi State University.
The Shooters had an outstanding day in Sporting Clays finishing 4th in the discipline amid stiff competition. Seth Willard proved himself throughout the competition, posting consistent high scores in American Trap, Skeet and Five-Stand, and tying for 6th place in Sporting Clays. Newcomer, Joey Parisotto had exceptionally competitive scores, especially for his first collegiate competition. Korbin Reich was another team member that shot well throughout the competition.
The team members who competed were Seth Willard, Korbin Reich, Joey Parisotto, Isaac Blankenship, and Dalton Self. They will make their way back to Texas for two more competitions this semester for the Regional and National Championships hosted at the National Shooting Sports Complex in San Antonio.
