Connors State College’s Athletics Department recently held a golf tournament to raise funds for the school’s athletic scholarships. Eighteen teams participated raising more than $6,000.
“We have put on this tournament for the past three years,” said Athletic Director Bill Muse. “This year’s turnout was great and we are extremely pleased with the amount of money raised.”
The winning team was Harrison Tire, made up of Mike Young, Larry Young, Kyle Tingel and Gene Polston. The Harrison Tire Team shot a 17 under par for first place in the tournament. Second place went to the Rusty Jones team and third place to the Fisher team.
The funds will be used to provide athletic scholarships to students wishing to attend Connors State College. For more information on the athletics program at Connors State College visit www.connorsstate.edu.
